The Situation:

Harley-Davidson Motor Company World Headquarters at 3700 Juneau Avenue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. KMI was hired as the mason contractor to reconstruct the existing parapets on the 3700, 3800 and 3900 buildings. The three buildings are 100+ years old and combine for a total of 1,500 linear feet of necessary parapet reconstruction.

The Solution:

The parapet walls were showing their age, and each was taken down to the top of the existing lintels, which is about 7 feet. Crews worked 1st and 2nd shifts roughly 85 feet in the air off swing stages and mast climbing scaffold to complete the work. The building remained open and completely operational while the work was completed.
